  4. disabled.  The on-line reference is limited to the Windows section of the
  5. Win.ini file.  This demo version of iniExpert may be freely distributed.

  12. The key to optimizing Windows is mastering the .ini files.  By fine tuning
  13. these files it is possible to speed up performance, avoid system crashes,
  14. change hardware drivers, and customize the look and feel of Windows.

  16. iniExpert's powerful editor puts users in control like never before.  The
  17. Menu driven interface makes it easy to select the file, section and entry
  18. to edit.  The Search feature cuts through the clutter and jumps directly to
  19. the desired entry.  Optional entries are also presented and can be added to
  20. the .ini file with just a click.  Entries can be turned on and off without
  21. removing them all together.  For most entries, making a change is as easy
  22. as selecting the value from a list.

  25. information right where its needed -- on screen.  Each entry is clearly
  26. explained, including the entry's purpose, setting range and default value.
  27. Settings can now be changed with confidence, no more guess work or flipping
  28. through reference books. iniExpert is also a great learning tool. Browse
  29. through entries, learn what each does and discover new ways to customize
  30. Windows. On-line information is provided for all the standard Windows and
  31. Windows for Workgroups .ini files including: win.ini, system.ini,
  32. progman.ini, protocol.ini, control.ini, winfile.ini.

  34. iniExpert provides a double safety net.  The automatic file backup feature
  35. stores a backup copy of the .ini file when it is loaded by the editor.
  36. iniSave is another powerful safety feature that runs each time Windows is
  37. started and stores a copy of all the settings.  If necessary, the Windows
  38. settings can be restored to the way they were when last run.

  41. 3.1 or later, and 2 Mb free hard disk space.
